This Claro Walnut Burl Slice is packed full of character, colour, and a personality all its own! 

It measures approximately 1" thick, the other dimensions are best depicted with the markings seen in the photos. Thru a combination of extented air drying and then finishing with kiln drying optimal moisture content has been achieved.

It is in the rough making it a little difficult to see the figure, more of the detail can be seen when you scroll over the photos.

These types of pieces can be a bit fragile so we recommend hand sanding or perhaps using an orbital palm sander (gently).

Claro Walnut (Juglans hindsii) is native to the Western United States. Another common name is California Black Walnut.
