Hickory

Hickory is actually a commercial name for the accumulation of several species of hickory native to the forest. It is an extremely hard wood and has a great color variation. The heartwood is a coffee/reddish color and the sapwood creamy white. Some boards are heavy one color or the other, but there is no delineation in offerings.
