The figuring in Cherry is typically subtle and can be curly or quilted in nature. This particular piece is quilted with a flowing pattern. Some may even refer to this piece as "Flame Cherry" because of the illusion the figure gives. 

It measures .75" x 5.5" x 36.5" long. Surfaced on four sides. A wonderful piece for that special project !
