Rough Hardwood Lumber
"Rough Lumber" is a term used to describe lumber as it comes from the sawmill. The wood is rough on both faces and both edges. It has not been planed, surfaced, jointed or ripped. The widths of the boards are random and not cut at specific sizes.
There are many thicknesses available which are represented as a fraction, an example being 4/4 ["four quarter"] which is 1" thick in the rough, 5/4 being 1.25" thick in the rough, and etc.
We offer a large variety of Domestic Hardwoods in various thicknesses along with some Exotic Imported Hardwoods. Milling services including planing and ripping are available for an additional fee.
